Bespoke Handmade, Real Wood Kitchen

Our client bought this beautiful home in February 2019 and we started work on it the following month. The house was purchased with planning, but the plans allowed for a boot room which narrowed the kitchen. We worked with our client and the architect to re-configure the space to create this stunning open plan kitchen/dining/entertaining space.

MPG Kitchens were originally considered alongside other high-end kitchen designers including Tom Howley and Martin Moore. We were appointed due to our wider range of abilities (with MPG Construction). The consultations with our client and the architect involved us completely reconfiguring the downstairs of the property – this involved removing all load-bearing walls. This stunning kitchen is almost a 3rd bigger than the original plans and has a traditional/classic look.

The kitchen units are painted in Farrow & Ball's ‘drop cloth’. The work surfaces are quartz, a new floor has been laid with underfloor heating throughout. The floor tiles were chosen for their reflective qualities bringing a light and airy feel to the entire downstairs.

The finishes throughout the kitchen include antique brass handles from Armac Martin. Every accessory/finish was thoroughly researched and sourced by our client, who was a pleasure to work with. As the build progressed, she had already sourced products and finishes thereby ensuring no delays for us

The kitchen incorporates many useful elements including a hidden bar, a wine/champagne cooler, quirky hob spice cupboard, hot tap, island with electrical points and bar seating, and a door which leads directly into the garage offering convenience for bringing in food shopping and beverages straight from the car

“Kevin and the team were brilliant – we had anywhere between 2 and 10 people here over the 7 months of the build. The property was literally an empty shell – it was great to work with people that could deliver my vision for the kitchen and the rest of the house. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them to anyone who looks for quality workmanship.”.
